Startup Marlborough
StartUp Marlborough launched in June 2022 where 55 strangers came together to use their knowledge to formulate a business idea in 54 hours. Our StartUp programme is made up of the annual StartUp Weekend and 12 networking events per year where we invite StartUp businesses to speak and showcase their entrepreneurial journey to inspire others. As well as identifying Marlborough's emerging talent, the StartUp helps connect the entrepreneurial dots through our partner programmes such as Business mentors. Fast forward to today and we are building on that success by giving Marlborough a platform for new, innovative businesses to flourish in our region.
Concept
The concept of a StartUp community is new to Marlborough. The introduction of the StartUp Weekend in 2022 proved there was interest. It is apparent that people in Marlborough want to grow, foster ideas and mingle with like-minded people. This is where the concept of the StartUp Mixers came, following a similar theme to other regions startUP programmes. The concept is to help foster knowledge within our StartUp community through sharing of information, linking them with businesses that can provide them with tools to set them in the right direction when the time comes to start their new venture.
